Kayaking

Kayaking is a relaxing way to enjoy the scenery of the Cetina River

Kayaking along the Cetina river is an ideal outing for the whole family. Children must be over the age of 8 and you will have the option to paddle alone or in tandem.

The Operator will provide a life jacket, a waterproof drum for your personal items, along with a safety brief. As the departure point is right in the city, no time is wasted before you are ready to go. The river turns and soon you will be immersed in nature as the city disappears behind you. When you have settled into a rhythm with your paddle you can start to enjoy the scenery surrounded by mountains.

A little bit further up the river, you notice reeds along the river’s edge and you can see wild ducks and hear other birds hidden in the bush. Depending on the wind’s intensity and direction it may be better to stick to the side of the river which is less exposed. Enjoy your time exploring the area.

If you need a break, start to search for a landing point for the kayak. This break will regenerate your arms and shoulders while giving you a chance to have a picnic, snap some photos or take a swim. Whether you choose to continue further upstream to explore, or decide to stop paddling and let the current take you back downriver, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views. Soon you will be back at the starting point, the tour operator staff will be ready to help you get out of the kayak. At this point we’re sure you will feel a sense of achievement and peace after spending your time in the fresh air.

Things to note:

  • This rafting trip is family friendly. Children ages 5+ are welcome to participate
  • Wear something you are comfortable getting wet. We recommend a t-shirt, pants and water shoes along with a towel and change of clothing.
  • Don’t forget sun protection! Hint: The best time to raft this river is in the Spring and Fall, when we experience the ideal water level
